| Welcome What is the Church of Christ? • Those that constitute the Church of Christ are those who have been taught about Christ and His church and have obeyed the gospel by way of water baptism for remission of sins. • The Church of Christ is ruled and regulated by the New Testament scriptures and we are instructed to learn from the examples found in the Old Testament. • The head of the Church of Christ is Christ. There are no church headquarters on earth and each congregation is autonomous. • The Church of Christ had its beginning on the day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2:37-47 and is referred to in Romans 16:16. • Members of the Church of Christ are Christians and Christians only. (I Peter 4:16) • The Church of Christ is the body of Christ and the Bible states, there is one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one Faith, one faith, one Baptism, one God and Father of all.
